Time Zone for File Explorer

Does anyone know if it’s possible to adjust the time zone within File Explorer? The Time Created and Time Modified columns show the time stamp in UTC time, and we’d like it to display in EST.

Is it possible to make that change and if so, can anyone tell me how/where?

Hi Tracy @THENDRICKSON

I don’t think that is possible then as the dates you see are based on the server dates (UTC).  You can contact Support to verify this, but I believe that is the case since many international implementations could have user coverage from multiple timezones for example.

So all you can really do is provide an overlay which is what the File Explorer Manager solution does

Hope this helps

Yes, this is adjustable! There's a MarketPlace solution called File Explorer Manager that has a setting for this (User Preferences > User Time). Also check the Daylight Savings box if you want it to auto-adjust between EST/EDT - otherwise it'll stay fixed and drift an hour off during DST. Screenshot attached showing where to find it.

We have already adjusted the time zone setting within the File Explorer Manager solution, but the Time Created and Time Modified time stamps within File Explorer are still showing in UTC time.

Hi @THENDRICKSON

I think you might potentially be misinterpreting the answer above.  Changing this setting will only apply to viewing files within the File Explorer Manager solution itself (not a platform wide change)

So if you open the OneStream Platform File Explorer screen it will be unchanged from your File Explorer Manager settings update, for example

Hope this helps clarify
