Move an entity to a new parent

Hi community, 

We are doing some changes in the legal structure and we would like to move an entity from one EntityDim to another EntityDim. Best would be to copy the entity to the new structure  and put in a "to date" in the old structure and a "from date" in the new structure under "In use"-parameter I guess to keep the history. Does anyone know if that is possible? The entity will have the same ID.

 

Or do I have the rename the old entity and create a new with the same name in the new structure? Or any other ideas how to move an entity to a new mother?

You cannot move an element to a different dimension while keeping the data. You can change relationships to an existing element effectively having it rolling up to a different parent, potentially in a different dimension, but the element itself cannot be moved. 
You will need to create a second element and rename the old one instead.
