Originally posted by Andy Moore 10/9/2018 All of my planning project thus far have been for USD only. In my FinReporting cube today i have entities 10 (Peso), 35 (USD) that make up a division NAA because entities cross divisions and in my Budget Cube i have Division NAA as my entity with UD1 as my legal entity with 10 and 35. My question is what have people done for currency assignment when the client plans by division but plans in local entity currencies when entities are now in UD1? Do you do simple custom translations where you translate entity 10 to Peso? What have people done in the past or have seen?
Originally posted by Stanislas Mareschal de Longeville 2/19/2020 Hi, my client wants to use translation rate by entity. Two entities that have the same currency may not have the same rate (not the same closing rate for example). This is not specific to a few accounts or flows. It should be applied to the whole translation engine.Does anyone have faced this issue ?
Originally posted by Scott Holt 7/25/2019 Security Template Question: The case is that for some groups the customer can have up to 9 plus users associated to a group but in the template, it is only planned for up to 5 children. I guess you could add columns but then the xml generation formula isn't updated to take into account the values in those extra columns. So does anybody have a pre-built one with the code amended for more than 5users to a group? Or do you just load multiple times?

In the example below I want to have a user be able to have access to only be able to edit HL_Acct_Measures. I setup the security around the dimension property like below but when I assign that group to my test user it allows me to edit the Corp_Acct_Measures as well. Is this because the HL is inheriting the Corp accounts? Below are some screen shots of the setup. Originally posted by Celvin Kattookaran5/31/2018 I've a question on extending or adding a relation in Account dimension. Maybe the people who converted a Hyperion Planning can shed some light.I'm expanding the conversion utility that I created to migrate Essbase, I'm almost done with Planning and have few questions around Account dimension. Let's say I got 3 cubes in HP (Hyperion Planning) Workforce Capex Corp Now Workforce and Capex can have entirely different set of accounts. Corp can have it's own set of accounts and some accounts from Capex and Workforce - not all. I cannot find an example in GolfStream where this is done. Entity I can add a relationship from a different hierarchy, I cannot do that in Account (or I'm doing it wrong, which is probably the case). How have you guys done this, source plan type and valid for plan in HP converted to OneStream.

Originally posted by Matt Grundey 11/30/2017 Hi all, is it possible to give a subset of users the ability to amend/update/move relationships within just one UD. I'm working with a client who have a contracts hierarchy in UD3 and would like to give a user in each division the ability to manage this dimension. Obviously, they don't want the users to be able to do anything to the other dimensions. I can't see anything in terms of security settings in the doc and my gut says its a no.. but thought I would ask.
Originally posted by Chul Smith 8/3/2017 Has anyone implemented a security model where they grant access to all admin tasks except security? I told told this customer to just assign the users to Administrators and then have a report each month that shows that they're not adding users, etc.

Originally posted by Chul Smith 3/28/2019 Specifically, who can unpost - I'm guessing that if you have Post security, you can unpost. We just don't know if you have Approve or Create Journal, can you unpost? Basically, they want to disable the Unpost functionality.
Originally posted by Rob Dessureault 7/31/2019 We have a process whereby when a workflow is certified, a data management job kicks off and copies specific Actual accounts into the Flash scenario. However, with the Manage Data Group set to Administrators, the users are encountering this error message. . If I change it to Everyone, all works well
Originally posted by Kyle Nelson 9/5/2019 I have a business rule question regarding interaction with security groups. So the background is, we have hundreds of security groups that we thought we would need. We found another solution and want to clean up the security groups by deleting all of these extra groups. Has anyone ever used BRApi.Security functions before to pull a long list of identifiable groups and delete them? Or have you tried something else that achieves the same result?

Originally posted by Geoffroy des Dorides 3/10/2020 Hi, I have this weird situation where a user can input on an entry "form" but not launch a calculate or a force calculate. I guess the form is properly implemented as the administrator can launch a calculate or a force calculate from the same form. Which security role would prevent a user to calculate? (the user is able to input so I guess is has the proper access right on Entity and Scenario).
Originally posted by Karen Blackmon 4/1/2020 Do we share the Utility that allows us to clean security information from an extracted database with partners? I'm working with a partner and need for them to take a copy of client system and install on partner's system. Also, if we do share this kind of thing, how do we share it? We are prevented from emailing the exe, and they are prevented from receiving an exe. Is there a shared drive that we can leverage with partner collaborations? Thanks!!
Originally posted by Craig Rowe 9/23/2019 Hi All, I am working with Relational Blending and pulling data from Stage into a dashboard. I am trying to format the value of my data into currency. When I use the query in SQL Server, I can see the correct format, with commas. When I put the same query into my business rule, see the format change the number of decimal places but I don't see the commas. Does anyone have any idea how to show commas in my dashboard grid view?

Originally posted by Rob Dessureault 2/8/2019 What is the best way to stop a Flow member from translating? I have this and it works, but is there a better way?
Originally posted by Jon Golembiewski 4/9/2019 For those that have used the Flow Processing rules for multi currency input... if you have calculated data that you write to the currency flow members, does the calculation sequence still pick it up to reverse translate it back to the entity currency? My thinking is that any member formulas or business rules would run after the flow processing rules and thus wouldn't get picked up. Basically, in the sequence below, anything running after step 3 would not get translated to the entity currency. I could not be lazy and test it but just wanted to see if anyone had run into this before.
Originally posted by Andrea Tout 9/23/2019 Has anyone ever extended on the scenario? We have on division that has it's own cube, and they have a lot of versioning and no one wants to deal with it in the other cubes. Display security doesn't exist for the scenario dimension.
Originally posted by Andrea Tout 8/22/2019 Hey! When people typically handle entity security, do you nest the parents security group in its children security group? So when you have access to a higher level parent, you just add them to that parents group, instead of adding the user to like 100 groups. I have always wondered what is better! I feel like it depends on the size of the client
