For example the Yen FX rate would be 1.25 but then a factor of 100 would be applied to the rate during translation? I think this would have to be done in a custom translation rule but would like to know if anyone has handled this before.
Originally posted by Martin Toma1/25/2019 I wanted to know how you guys have addressed this issue before. My only thought was to create another WF that loads to the Planning Cube and have that feed from the stage table of the Actuals cube. This Planning WF would automatically be loaded (via Batch) upon successful load of the Actuals cube. Question from the partner: We have 2 cubes – one where we load actuals from EBS and another where we do planning. Data is loaded into the Actuals cube from EBS where we consolidate/group the lower level Entities into summary Entities via Transformation Rules. Essentially in Stage for the Actuals cube, the Entity dimension is more granular than what is in the actual financial modeThe Actuals cube is used to process actuals, elimination, adjustments, etc. and then we copy the data to the Planning cube. That works beautifully, but if I’m looking at my actuals from the Planning cube, and try to drill down, I only see what was copied over fro

Originally posted by Henning Windhagen 11/4/2019 How do I change the data in a derivative rule that is returned? I have a derivative rule that returns the normal accounts and re-directs the data to a new entity. The problem is, the loaded entity is in GBP, and the new, re-directed one is in THB. (This is a management reclass, believe me when I say this is required by the customer...) Now I want to leave the dimensional derivative mapping as it is, but change the actual data (translate in the complex expression / BR) to be able to load it to C#Local in THB. Anyone ever done anything like that before? All I basically need is a way to change the returned data (same like the ""Multiply"" or ""Divide"" function, I would then just retrieve and apply the respective FX rate myself.
Originally posted by Karen Blackmon 7/24/2018 Can we change the FX Rule Type for a Cube after it has been used for USD activity only with no translation performed??We have dedicated cubes for tax that have been used for > than 1 year. Cubes are set with a FX Rate Rule Type For Revenues and Expenses = Direct. Client has not performed translation to date, though they have begun data assembly of opening balances in functional currency for a specific period. Client has made a change in process, and would like to use the Periodic translation method to translate. Since we have never performed translation on these cubes: - Is it 'OK' for us to change the FX Rule Type for Revenues and Expenses? - Will this cause data changes to our prior periods, (all in USD)? - Any special handling required for the opening balances that client is assembling in functional currency?

Originally posted by Nick Kroppe 10/6/2018 Hey Guys, what is best practice for handling fx rates for forecast or rolling forecast scenarios? If the client wants different rates by forecast, are there any other options outside of creating a new fx rate type for each forecast scenario?

Originally posted by Christian Wetterwald6/25/2019 I need to build an entity structure for a PoC that behaves like extensible dimensionality, for the legal scenario a member is base, but for management reporting it is a node. Simple for all dimensions except Entity. How would you solve this situation, is there even a simple solution? The second question is related. What happens, if all children of an dimension - entity or not - are disabled for a scenario or time period, will the node become a base member?"
Originally posted by Jessica Toner1/10/2020 I have 2 monolithic cubes in a demo app that both need to have a specific account with the same number. Since the account is already being used in one cube's account dimension, I can't add the account to the other cube since it technically exists within the application. Is there any way to add the member to the 2nd cube's account dimension?
Originally posted by Pascal De Schryver7/4/2019 Does anyone have a document showing the work that is required to split a live cube in 2? The business case is that we will have regional cubes initially but that down the line might be split further if the client wants to add responsibility levels and further decentralization capabilities? For example we would start with an AsiaPacific cube since this the current organization but what is the work required if they decide after a few years to split it in 3: Asia, Australia and Pacific.

Originally posted by Hans van der Kemp3/20/2020 I am trying to map historical data from SAP-BPC into OS. BPC has some accounts where 3rd P and Interco are booked on a single account. The ""top"" member is stored and is called ""TPTOP"". This member contains the sum of 3rd P + Interco. The Interco partners are also stored as ""IC1"" etc The issue is that the 3rd P component (our I#None) is generated by analysis services, and is therefore not stored. It cannot be extracted from BPC.So I would like to create a complex expression or BR that does ""I#None = TPTOP minus IC1, IC2 etc""Does someone have a snippet available for that?Another option could be to (manually) create an additional 3rd P load file, just for I#None, and merge it with the regular source file. But I prefer the code solution, because it is repeatable.
Originally posted by Cameron Lackpour3/28/2019 I’m trying to use a spreadsheet in a dashboard with a simple parameter-driven CV.When I open the CV interactively in the spreadsheet and then click on Refresh in the ribbon, the CV parameter dialog box pops up, I make my selections, et voilà, I have my CV-within-a-spreadsheet: However, when I make this a dashboard content component, and set the “Refresh Spreadsheet When Opened” parameter to true, I get: Which is a bummer. I've tested this in 4.4 and 4.5 with the same result. Has anyone else seen this? Is this an artefact of my local (somehow bad) client install?

Wondering what any considerations should be with setup (present and future). Anything special to be aware of when dealing with only 1 currency? Future considerations with setup today vs. adding translations possibly in future? Also noticed when trying to enter data in CV to "Local" member for Budget Scenario, could not enter unless Consolidation Member POV was set to None (??). Entities are tagged as USD.

Originally posted by Andrea Tout6/26/2018 Hey there! I am trying to do a spreadsheet form. So the form template is built as a dashboard because if you build a spreadsheet form, any prompts will show up as a dialogue, not be nested on top of the form. So instead I am making a dashboard that runs the spreadsheet with a combo box. It works for the most part, but every time I run it I get this error, but when I make a selection, in the combo box, it all runs fine. Has anyone seen this? I want to try this for my users but the error makes it look wonky.
